Paripakv Foundation is a Sec 8 company setup up with the exclusive objective of providing quality education to under- privileged students via various targeted intervention programs. Using its own custom-built programs, it partners with other agencies in the field of education to transform the quality of education being provided to the students thus empowering them to realise their true potential in life. Paripakv has been founded and is run by professionals from top notch institutions like IIM, IIT and BIT, on the fundamentals of ensuring the highest levels of transparency to its functioning and activities. Its founding principle is 100% use of donor funds towards the specific program thus ensuring maximum benefit for every rupee funded. All people associated with Paripakv share a common passion towards empowerment via education!

प्रोत्साहन

The objective of this program is to provide financial assistance & education support services to students who have lost their parent(s) due to COVID-19 and to ensure continuity of their education towards building a career for themselves. प्रोत्साहन is a dual program which combines financial assistance with mentorship assistance from professionals. Students studying in Class 11 and 12 will be entitled to receive a scholarship to cover their academic expenses and mentorship from a professional for Coaching, Career Counselling and Life Skills. This is an aptitude-based scholarship for a certain section of students as per the following criteria:

  • Students who have lost one or both their parent(s) due to the COVID-19 pandemic are eligible. In case of students who were orphans, loss of their primary caregiver (grandparents) to Covid will be taken into consideration.
  • Applicants must be studying in 11th or 12th class.
  • Applicants should be enrolled and continuing their education.
  • Open for Indian nationals only.
  • Allowance for academic expenses will be provided on a monthly basis for academic purposes such as internet, device, books, stationery, online learning, etc. The scholarship amount given to scholars will depend on the expenses incurred during the academic year. Details of the expenses should be provided by the student every month. This is subject to review.
  • Duration of the scholarship is annual coinciding with the academic year subject to review of performance, utilisation pattern and continued state of crisis/need.
  • The student should NOT be Recipient of any of the scholarships/financial assistance of any kind.
  • There is a maximum amount which can be paid under this program. Any expenditure beyond that amount will have to be borne by the student.

Application to be made online using Google forms. The selection process is multi-stage combining both aspects viz. need demonstrated by the crisis situation alongwith the academic rigour and aptitude. Documents required:

1. Death Certificate of Father/Mother or both explicitly mentioning that the death was due to Covid-19
2. If one parent (Father or Mother) is alive, current year income certificate
3. Current year enrolment proof - Bonafide Certificate issued by the school
4. 10th Mark sheet
5. Latest marksheet certified by school
6. AADHAR card
7. Passport size photo

Death incident occurring due to Covid will be considered from 1st April 2020 to 31st December 2021 for purpose of scholarship Scholarship is applicable in programs offered in regular mode only. Wards will include son/s and/or daughter/s who are dependents also

Pooja Sharma

Pooja Sharma has spent 25 years being a technologist for the banking industry. She holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in Finance & International Business. Besides work, she actively supports the causes of education and women empowerment. She has been associated with schools for the underprivileged in the Gurgaon area for last 2 years.

Harmendra Gandhi

Harmendra Gandhi is an IIT Kanpur and IIM Bangalore graduate who has worked in areas of finance and portfolio management for the past 25 years. He has also been deeply involved in NGOs in the education sector specially in fund raising and governance.

Adopt-A-Career

Via the ‘Adopt-A-Child’s Career’ program a sponsor not only sponsors the specialised coaching of a student, but also spends time with the student towards career mentoring him/her. We aim to match a sponsor cum mentor with a student based on the career aspiration of the student. This is done to maximise the effectiveness of the inputs provided by the mentor to the child. The students are chosen based on an aptitude – based screening and will need to commit to:

1. Demonstrating seriousness by achieving certain minimum standards of performance during the program duration
2. Proactively connect with mentor for the mentoring sessions
3. Apply for and appear for the entrance exams in the chosen field immediately after completion of the coaching

Samajh

Samajh is an endeavour to augment the quality and capacity of these local initiatives by providing dedicated teachers with quality training and mentoring in core subjects to such schools at the middle school level in a partnership model. Our teachers comprise of young adults who are passionate and willing to be molded into good teachers. These teachers need to demonstrate a social commitment besides being experts in their subject areas. The teachers are subjected to continuous mentoring by an expert panel of advisors comprising experienced teachers, professionals & educators. This combination brings together the technology competence of the youth with the traditional education experience of the mentors to create a unique program targeted towards Samajh (understanding) as against rote exam-focussed learning.
